First time at the Neurolux! Fun one, really amazing crowd. One of the biggest we’ve played to. We got recognized a lot during the fest after this show, which was such a great feeling. Lots of people seemed to really enjoy it.

Probably wasn’t our best performance ever, but it was still great.

We debuted Punchlust Singalong at this show! Really fun song – our first dance song. This one goes further in the direction we were shifting towards with Duet with a Robot – more poppy, more jazzy, but still with that signature Downcoast flair. It’s a really fun one, and it seemed like a lot of people liked it. We love playing it – there’s not even really any lead guitar lines for the whole song, which is unheard of for us!

We’ve got another dance song in the works, too. We just enjoyed this one so much that we want to explore the genre a little more.

The Neurolux had fantastic sound, by the way! And the stage was plenty big to fit the TV and such on. We were worried it would be too small.

Here’s a little secret: most of our new songs don’t really have lyrics. We basically sing gibberish and placeholders. The audience at shows don’t really pay attention to the lyrics, especially for our kind of music. Someday we’ll finish them, though. Before they get recorded…
