Well I’ll be honest, folks. I totally forgot to add this one to the website. So I’m writing this like three months later. Really embarrassing.

So FROM WHAT I REMEMBER, this show was great! Jack from BUM did the honors of introducing us on stage and playing our intro VHS tape. This made it the first show where we could step out from behind the curtain when the tape says our name, which was really cool. Made us feel like a real band.

We also tried a new bit for the first time at this show – handing out cease and desist letters for our investors’ use of the month of January. This went really well, and we’ve got a bunch of ideas for how to continue this bit at future shows. We’ve already done it again. This is the most fun part of playing our shows, honestly – the bits.

We opened with Aaahh!! Real Serpents for the first time as an opener at this show, and we agreed it’s our favorite opening song for now. It’s easy to play, and we always seem to mess up something in the first song since our nerves are at their height. So it’s a good match!

But I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the reason for this show: it was Boise Underground Media’s one-year anniversary! Since they started, BUM has been a fantastic resource for connecting the music scene and fostering a sense of community. It was a real honor to be asked to play this show.

Another fun one, and a good start to 2024 🙂
